Programs

At Dance Fusion we pride ourselves on offering a dynamic range of classes for children of all ages. We have professional and qualified staff who head up both our Competitive and Recreational Programs to offer each student the highest quality training.

Students are put into classes based on their age and capabilities at the teacher’s discretion. Students are placed into appropriate classes which the staff feels is best suited to meet their needs and abilities. Age groupings are guidelines only.

Kidazzle Program – this specialized dance readiness program was designed for our future stars. This combination class introduces both boys and girls to the dance basics in tap and ballet, as well as an awareness of music and creative movement.

Level 1 – ages 2 ½ – 3 ½

Level 2 – ages 4 – 5 ½

All Boys Classes – this combination class of Hip Hop & Break Dancing is a perfect outlet for boys of all ages to experience dance. With two levels we are now able to accommodate two separate ages levels of boys classes. All male students receive half price classes.

Recreational Program – our dynamic Recreational Program offers a wide variety of classes that are sure to fit any student’s needs. Each discipline has specialized teachers in order to offer the highest quality of Recreational training.

Jazz – a funky class that teaches the essential techniques and flexibility of dance.

Tap – a variety of hoofing styles and new tap elements incorporated into this technique.

Ballet – the essential technique class for any student who is serious about dancing.

Musical Theatre – this Broadway type class teaches students the essential stage performance techniques through lip-synching and movement. Any Musical Theatre student is also strongly recommended to be enrolled in another technique class in order to enhance their training in this program.

Acrobatics – our gymnastics level instructors teach the basics of floor acrobatics while incorporating jazz technique.

Hip Hop – this new style of dance is the current craze in the dance world as it incorporates a more street style approach to technique.

Competitive Program – students are invited to audition for our Competitive Program by our teaching staff as we feel a student is ready and capable of this demanding program. Students train intensively in all facets of dance in this full time program and compete both locally and nationally each year.

Year End Spectacular – our annual year-end Spectacular is the stage for all of our students to perform at the end of June. Our one-of-a-kind themed shows create an evening of entertainment that all your friends and family will enjoy. Costumes are purchased through the studio for each specific student. For each Recreational class your child is in, they will need a separate costume for the Recital. We are excited to announce that our 2008 Year End Spectacular will be held at the newly designed and state of the art Theatre in the Cultural Centre of Scarborough, located at Progress & Sheppard. This one of a kind theatre will be the perfect venue to host a one of a kind show that Dance Fusion puts on. Please check out the New section for dates.

Music Lessons – Dance Fusion is excited to introduce their new Music studio starting off with Guitar/Bass lessons for children and adults. Private and Semi-Private lessons will be offered throughout the year and selected students will have the opportunity to perform in our Year End Spectacular along with our Dance students. Yoga Classes – Dance Fusion is thrilled to introduce our new Yoga Classes. These specialized Ashtanga classes, focus on postures, breathing, stretching and meditation which are perfect for both young and old. Check out our News Section for class information and schedule.
